Have I ever shared with you that I have a morning practice of reflecting and realigning my heart, mind, body, and soul for 45-60 minutes each day?

Yes, I know that sounds like a lot of time—and in some ways, it is! It might even seem like a luxury. Except, if I don’t do it, it becomes almost impossible for me to show up fully in the spaces and places that matter most. Which means it isn’t a luxury at all—it’s essential.

This practice isn’t just a routine; it’s my roadmap to success. It creates the conditions for me to thrive, even during the most challenging circumstances. I began developing it in 2021, as I was just beginning to understand my neurodivergence. Over time, I’ve fine-tuned and tweaked it to meet my current needs, and today it’s a cornerstone of my personal and professional well-being.

But will my exact roadmap work for you? Probably not. That’s because it’s designed specifically for what my heart, mind, body, and soul need. Your needs are unique to you—and that’s a good thing! The good news is that there are universal framework pieces that can help you design a sustainable self-care practice tailored to your life. And I’m thrilled to offer opportunities to help you discover what will work best for you.

Why a Morning Practice is Essential for Growth

When life feels overwhelming, finding time to reconnect with yourself can seem impossible. But I’ve found that carving out even a small amount of dedicated time in the morning has a profound impact on how I navigate my day. Here’s why:

  • Clarity: A morning practice clears mental clutter, making it easier to focus on what truly matters.
  • Stability: It provides an anchor—a way to root yourself before the demands of the day take over.
  • Resilience: By prioritizing reflection and alignment, you build reserves of inner strength to handle challenges.

Your Roadmap to Sustainable Self-Care

While my morning practice might not be your perfect fit, there are key elements that anyone can adapt to create a practice of their own:

  1. Start Small: Even five minutes of reflection or meditation can make a difference.
  2. Tune into Your Needs: What helps you feel grounded? Journaling, stretching, or simply sipping tea in silence might be your entry point.
  3. Experiment and Adjust: Self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all. Allow yourself the grace to try different approaches until something clicks.
