I appreciated learning more about compassion fatigue. I just really felt seen and like this is a real thing that happens and that I am not alone in struggling with it.

I loved the rupture and repair breakout session. It was nice to let go of all my stress, fears and worries regarding COVID. Ironically enough, I tested positive for COVID the day after the event so I had COVID while attending the event and I didn't even know it! Perfect timing for rest and relaxation. Thank you for spending the time with us.

I found this to be some of the most valuable new info I've had in a very long time. Does Renae have this as book/video?

I knew self care is so so important but it can be so much more or less than a bath or a solitary trip to target, both of which never happen for me. I needed that perspective shift though.

This was just the "shot in the arm" that I needed to get myself back to a 100% caregiver. If these could occur every 2 or 3 months, that would be amazing!

I felt SEEN, HEARD, VALUED and PRECIOUS and I am now going to remind myself of this every day. I would love if this was offered again, because there were other sessions that I would like to attend. My 18 year old daughter enjoyed the one with the plates and asked if there were any teen sessions like this she could attend.

That I’m not alone, there’s lots of others feeling the same burnout (that it’s a normal reaction to difficult situations) and that there is a way to recover. Hearing that “therapists need their own therapists” was very enlightening. If therapists are in need, then even us caregivers are in need of help. That is, don’t just keep sacrificing your self and try and care for others without any help for ourselves.

This training has helped me reframe my way of thinking

I learned some new breathing techniques and for once in my life I allowed myself to completely relax while I listened to Renae during the second session. I would pay big money to be able to have a tape (yes cassette tape is fine) of her voice guiding my breathing and helping me let go of the stress I had/have. The candles and the chocolate covered almonds made me feel like I was in a five star resort.
